HEALING SESSIONS AT 3, 7, AND 10-DAY RETREATS

Our holistic therapy sessions will be a perfect addition to your retreat. Depending on the length of your stay, you can try different healing practices that can positively improve your physical health, emotional balance, mental clarity, and creativity.
Ayurvedic Massage
Ayurveda is almost 5,000 years old and is practised mainly in India. It is only now gaining popularity in the West. Ayurveda is one of the most ancient alternative medicines. Its practices consider each person’s body type. As more people become more thoughtful about their health and well-being, Ayurveda is a perfect way to restore some imbalances and rejuvenate the body quickly.
During our 5 to 10-day retreats, you will receive one full Ayurvedic massage (Marma massage) to improve your physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional imbalances. Marma massage stimulates vital energy points (the flow of Prana) nestled inside our tissues, joints, and nerves. It is an imaginative bridge between the body and the mind.
During theese sessions, not only the physical side, gentle pressure of muscles, organs, and nervous system, is worked out, but also the mental aspects are considered. Using oils, each touch helps to release any negative or stagnant energy, relax your body, and restore energy levels, contributing to overall well-being.
ART THERAPY
As its title implies, it is a therapeutic method that uses art to express and interpret one’s emotions and thoughts. Although it is a relatively new approach, studies already show its positive outcomes, such as a soothing effect on stress, anxiety, and other conditions related to mood and self-esteem.
Although we at Kailash Yoga Ashram are not doctors, we have taken many courses out of a personal interest in alternative medicines. We desire to accompany our students on their journey towards self-care, self-confidence, and physical and mental well-being, so we have decided to enrich our retreat programs with Art Therapy to complete the healing journey.
Different methods will be used throughout Yoga & Meditation retreat sessions, such as soap making, candle making, mandala drawing, macrame creation, malas creation, vision-board making, etc.
But don’t worry; you do not have to be an artist to follow Art Therapy. On the contrary, the sessions are selected and designed so that everyone can find the creative part inside them. Furthermore, you will leave with a pleasant memory that can even enhance your moments of stress relief and mindfulness once the retreat ends.
Sound Healing
Music has been proven to have a beneficial effect on our body and mind. Although everyone’s taste is very subjective, as our ears respond to each sound differently, we generally listen to music or produce some tones. Music gives us peace of mind and a feeling of contentment and somehow touches our inner soul.
Sound healing is the practice of deep relaxation using the sounds and vibrations of various musical instruments. You can enter a world of security and tranquillity where alarms and tensions have no place by simply resting and listening.
When sound waves enter the body, they affect each body part differently. While low-frequency sounds can bring stability, grounding, and physical relief, higher sound waves, on the other hand, bring mental clarity, relief of emotional distress, and cleansing of negative energy.
Sound healing sessions relieve diverse blockages that can be stored inside our bodies, release stress and anxiety, balance energy levels, and find inner harmony.
This unique session can be experienced during our 5 to 10-day retreats with a minimum of 5 participants.
