What to expect?

Whether you are a complete newbie or you wish to deepen your practice of Yoga and Meditation, our retreats are suitable for everyone regardless his/her level or flexibility. We always ensure that the practice is adapted to the needs and capacity of each participant. Yoga is not about performance and aesthetics as many social media present it nowadays. It is about doing something good for your physical body, with direct influence on the mental one, in order to preserve your health and well-being on a long term.

Practice of asanas, pranayama, and mindfulness will help you to enhance clarity, concentration and overall peace of mind. We will guide you through different techniques, explaining their benefits for your body and mind. Little, by little, our daily classes will lead you to build a new routine, easy to adopt, so that you will be able to continue even in your natural environment, once the retreat is over.

However, to achieve a genuine state of well-being; entertainment and relaxation are not least important. This is why we have planned for you different activities every day. While we will spend a good part of the day outside, enjoying beautiful weather, walking, exploring and having fun together; you will agree with us that some practices such as soothing session of sound bath, body massage or a creative workshop may require more tranquility.

Rishikesh is often called the world capital of Yoga, but not only, it’s a place where the ancient philosophy meets spirituality and natural beauty. Nestled on the banks of the sacred Ganga River, surrounded by majestic Himalayas, with temples and ashrams scattered all around. It sounds like a perfect setting for a mindful meditation and a deep reflection, isn’t it?
We will take you on an explorative journey of natural spots, hidden gems, local rituals and traditions.

As many before you, you will undoubtedly enjoy the unique atmosphere of our retreats that is created with a blend of like-minded people from around the world, who come with the same purpose: reconnect, revive and unwind. Over these ten days together, bonds and friendships will be created and doors open to new perspectives. You will simply fall in love with this place and with yourself!

A Yogic journey would not be complete without paying a close attention to our diet. That is why at Kailash Yoga Ashram, meals are planned and prepared according to Ayurvedic principles. Only fresh, local and whole meal ingredients are chosen to prepare delicious homemade dishes. They are cooked with love and objective of keeping the body light and mind clear, while providing the needed nutrients to fill you with energy throughout the day. You will enjoy three daily meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) that we will share together in our greeny garden most of the days.

Yoga Sessions

YOGA ASANAS
1 – 2 daily yoga sessions. One in the early morning to energize your body and awaken your spirit; and the other at the end of the day to gently settle down and prepare for the night. You may expect a blend of Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga.

Meditation session

MEDITATION
1 – 2 daily classes where you will be taught different meditation techniques, accompanied by chant of mantras to invoke personal intentions.

Restorative Yoga

PRANAYAMA
Teaching you different breathing exercises that will help you to relax and enhance clarity. Together with Yoga & Meditation, this practice completes the journey towards inner balance and peace of mind.

Excursions

EXCURSIONS
1 – 2 daily sight-seeing visit or natural walk to explore the beauty of Rishikesh, rich in history and traditions.
